I've done 265k in my Grande and yet to pop an airbag. It's lifted and sees some medium off-road work. Lots of wheel lifts etc.
I had a slow leak in a bag about 15k ago. But it still held air and just every now and again would go down overnight. Pumped straight up in morning.

Replacement bags (pair) are like $450 thru Amayama. So not too bad.

I use the height control a lot. For hitching a trailer and some car parks.

The Grande is also way quieter inside than other models due to extra sound deadening etc.

The airbag to coil conversion springs that I have custom made are $220 a pair if ditching the rear airbags.

There are certainly plenty of V6 Grande’s on Carsales for a reasonable price. I like off-roading and travelling remote so would have to delete the airbag suspension & replace with a proper coiled 2 inch lift. I’m going to replace my Prado next year with either a 120 series model or a 100 series Landcruiser with the 4.7L V8. Decisions decisions plus lots and lots of research so I make the best decision at the time. It’d be a car I’d keep for 10 years & will fit it out with the bolt on accessories.
2005 120 series V6 Grande, 2 inch susp lift (King/EFS combo), 32 inch MT’s, Safari Snorkel, rear diff lock, breathers, Light Force spotlights, UHF, dual batteries.

Honestly after going down a similar route to you 18 months ago, I am very happy with my 120 Grande V6 (Wife said I needed 8 seats.....) Lifted new front springs with new TEMS shocks and Airbags I see a lot of Prados towing with their rear ends squatting down (obviously no one on this forum) and every time I fill my trailer/load up back it is spot on, If I was to do it all again I would purchase a FJ Cruiser with the factory extra fuel tank and then put in lift kit that and go crazy IMHO.
