  • 120 V6 Fuel Gauge

    Hi,

My fuel gauge is inaccurate when on the first (main?) tank.

When I have both tanks full and the fuel gauge gets down to halfway on the first tank (3/4 of total fuel on board) it stays on halfway for ages before eventually going back up to full and the '90L' green light coming on to indicate that it's now on the second tank. The gauge works fine for the second tank and goes all the way down to empty. So in other words, it doesn't indicate anything below halfway when on the first tank, and it would nice to have an accurate reading.

Does anyone else have this happen?

Also, while i'm here, is there much to changing the fuel filter on the petrol 120? I'm wondering if it's just a case of unclipping it and then swapping the fuel lines over, or whether i need to release pressure anywhere first or prime the new one, etc.

    Thanks

Standard operation of fuel gauge. . Been a number of threads on it already. Your car user manual will explain this is how it works too.

Release pressure. (It usually drops after a bit anyway. )Just be aware of spray and cover it with a rag. No priming. It will fill automatically.
