Hi all, my better half put all the music on a thumb drive, changed them to MP3, from iTunes, although some come up as MP4, does this matter? The other thing is there are 700 odd songs, but it only plays up to about 100, then goes back to the start.. any idea what we are doing wrong? Guy at work thinks we should have 20 or so songs in a file, then have so many files to fit it all.. any help or suggestions would be a great. This is in a 150gxl 2012... cheers all.. Odog

I had an issue with my iPod and it turned out that it had given itself a file name which was all of the 1300+ songs on it. This was way to long for the car unit to read. Plug the usb into your computer and iTunes and give it a short name eg. "bill's songs" and see how you go. This worked for me and now it plays all songs.

I have about 4 folders with 200 songs in each folder. Song files are mp3 and m4a (iTunes format) and all play fine. When I first set up the USB I had issues but after reading the manual (shush, don't tell anyone!) it states something about only 250 songs being in a folder and 1000 in the root? Been awhile since I looked.
