Non ABS/TRC loom vs ABS TRC loom

Hi.

I have a 2000 GXL with the 1kzte manual. It is not equipped with ABS/TRC.

I need to replace the engine compartment fusebox and wiring loom however I am struggling to find one for sale. I have however found one from an automatic grande model with ABS/TRC. Basically I am wondering if this one would still work in my car.

G'day mate, I can't confirm for you but as an auto elec I can tell you that it should work. The new loom will have a lot of stuff left over that you can't use but the only modification I can think of that you may need to do is rewrite the reverse lights potentially and also override the plug for the neutral safety switch to allow it to start. But as I said, I can't confirm 100% for you.
