  • 2003 Prado 1GR-FE Remote entry and OBD2 port not working

    Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has come across this problem before. I bought the car with neither of the remote functions working on either key. I tried the process to link the keys, but it didn't work, so I took it to Toyota and they couldn't get their scan tool to talk to the ECU through the OBD2 port.

I had a crack at talking to the ECU with another scan tool, no luck. Checked the scan tool on my Subaru, worked perfectly...

So, I'm wondering if the ECU has crapped out in some way and in the process has killed the remote entry function? The car still starts and drives fine, everything else works... I'm just a bit stumped!

    Thanks in advance

    Steve
