  • Prado 2014 automatic headlights

    Just a query on my 2014 kakadu,facelift(obv).

When I use the Automatic headlights the lights turn on at dusk/night, but when I turn off my car, the automatic headlights are still active(lights still on). Do they turn off after a few seconds or is it just badly engineered.

I guess you could wait a few seconds and find out

Does anyone know if the car has a see me home light feature or something, because it is just stupid to not have your lights to automatically turn off.

In the Kluger, the lights would automatically turn off, regardless of the stork position.

Lights do turn off. And you can change the time as well. Or double click on lock button(remote).

So can you walk me through what you do. So its nightime, when you turn off the car, with the lights on auto setting, does the light turn off instantly, or is it after a few seconds, or when you lock the doors.

It sounds like you could either read the car manual (its in the glovebox, most likely), or spend 7 minutes outside at night sorting this out?

Pg 216 or 219 in the owner's manual.

The manual isn't very clear. It's more like 5 minutes or you can push the lock button twice on the remote.
