Injector recall

Hey guys, just bought myself a 2008 Prado GXL, it had the injectors replaced in 2015 and has only done 10,000km since, my question is; does the replacement fix the underlying problem or will the injectors continue to be a problem for the life of the vehicle?

It was the injector seats corroding that was the main problem, and that's what was replaced in the 'recall'. They changed the seat material around 2008, so yours may or may not be affected - check with Toyota, as it is done free. I swapped in Baileys reconditioned injectors when they did the recall on my old beloved 120. The injectors themselves are good for 150,000+, but should be checked each major service against spec.
