Welcome back. Nice tidy looking rig. Dual batteries are not standard and for new suspension check out the multiple posts on the ironman group buy setup Whitey has almost finished (can you see the end yet Whitey?). I have it installed on my 2014 GXL diesel and it is superb.

Jarrodjess - haven't looked into kits yet. Had Ironman in the 90 Series and that was ok, sagged pretty quickly though. Had EFS in the 80 series and that was great. Will look into all of the options when the time comes!

bazzang - my last experience with Ironman wasn't great (sagged quickly and they weren't interested in replacing under warranty, their solution was to offer me coil spacers). I will look into them again though as that was over 5 years ago and everyone seems to be happy with the group buy gear

As for other stuff, I've got myself a couple of little bits from Solidkit to fit - a dual usb port and dual battery monitor which looked pretty neat

          http://www.solidkit.com.au/product/h...-on-and-lc200/

Also got some Wetseat covers and floormats on the way.

And next major item will be wheels and tyres, most likely FJ rims or similar with 275/70/17s on them

Mate I'm sorry to tell you that that SolidKit Dual volt meter, which is a quality bit of gear,
            will turn you OCD...

Just try to not constantly look at what your voltages are doing... I dare you!

Brief progress update - been too busy lately to do much.

I've started building my rear drawers - only got the carcass in so won't worry about pictures yet. Got a christmas deadline so better get a move on!

Also got myself some Rockford Fosgate 6x9's for the front but after pulling apart the door and dummy mounting them, figured out it was going to be too much of a pain in the arse making up custom spacers so that they don't bottom out on the window. So will be transferring them into my Camaro and have just ordered a pair of these Focal's designed specifically for Toyotas. They seem to have good reviews so will be interested to see how they sound! Next will be replacing what I presume is 4" speakers in the dash as they're rubbish too. Probably won't worry about the rear speakers (will probably just disconnect them!)

Here are the focals if anyone is interested, hoping they get delivered and installed by the weekend so will update here with results

120D4D, if you put an On/Off switch on the Neg wire coming from the dual voltmeters you will be able to switch them off, I have both the dual voltmeters and double USBs switched off when not using them otherwise it's Christmas tree lights all the time.

                  Getting a service tomorrow.
Picked up a Waeco CF50 for the back.
Also booked in at the auto elec to fit my dual battery monitor, dual usb charger and compressor next week.
Heading over to Tassie over the Christmas break (only camping will be at Falls Festival), so I need it set up before then!
Will be transferring the awning and roof top tent from my cruiser this weekend

Those focal speakers look good. How much are they and where did you get them?

I got them for $295 delivered off eBay - link here. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FOCAL-IC...QAAOSw0IJZvQEd

They've arrived so pending time will be fitting them this weekend and will report back here!
I think there's 4" speakers in the dash which are pretty crappy too so I'll be looking at either disconnecting them or replacing them depending on how the Focals go.

Got the speakers in over the weekend.

Front 6x9's - Focal IC 690TOY. These are a direct plug and play replacement - no need for making up spacers and stuffing around. Toyota does not make it easy to install aftermarket 6x9's here and these slot straight in. Took 5 minutes all up each side which was including removing and reinstalling the trim.

Front 4" - Had some Alpine type S laying around so thought I'd throw them in while I was at it. These took a lot longer as it required cutting off of connectors and soldering in an awkward position. If you're looking at replacing these dash speakers just be wary of size as these Alpine's were a very snug fit (the vent ducting runs right next to the speaker)

Overall happy with the difference. The Focals sound great and the Alpine's help cut out the distortion from the crappy 4" speakers.
What I'm not happy with is the way Toyota have wired these. They've wired the 4" dash speakers to the head unit first, with a tail running down to the 6x9's. Now I'm not 100% sure if this is why, but it leaves the 6x9's SEVERELY underpowered. So much so that the 4" speakers out do the 6x9's.
I've got a couple of spare amps lying around so will be getting the 6x9's amped up in the new year which should improve the sound even more. Once I've done this I'll assess the bass levels and decide if I want to add in a small sub somewhere. Will probably also disconnect the 6.5" speakers in the rear doors.

                        Focal 6x9's:

                        Old 4" dash rubbish:

                          xlr8,
Thanks for the photos and info on the Focals.
Now you've seen the front speaker wiring, do you think it would be possible to bypass the 4" speakers completely and just run the Focals in the front doors? (I have been looking at installing a set of Focals to the front doors of my 150 GXL).

Yep. So the wiring seems to run from the head unit, to the 4" dash speakers then from there down to the 6x9's in the door. If you cut off the connector to the dash speakers, throw out the rubbish speaker and then just solder the same coloured wires together you should be fine. There's two of one colour wire and two of another colour at each dash speaker.
                            FYI colour coding as follows:
                            Right Front Positive - Green
                            Right Front Negative - Blue
                            Left Front Positive - Pink
                            Left Front Negative - Purple
