Can't find an answer to my question on a search of the forum or in the Owners manual so hope I'm not missing something.
I've got a 2016 GX Auto Prado & have been trying to find out how/if the traction control works in low range. When I put the transmission into low range the TRC Off light comes on so does traction control still work in low or not?
I've driven the car in several off road situations such as the Blue Rag track in the High Country, CREB track in Nth Qld, & plenty of forestry roads in SE Qld without an issue. The car just goes wherever it's pointed so it would seem that some form of extra traction is kicking in but I'm confused as to why the TRC Off light would be turned on if I was just being left with open diffs when in low range. Seems odd that traction control wouldn't be activated when in low range as this is just the time it's really needed.
Anyone have any info to help me understand how this system works & what's happening?
Many Thanks
