Looks like I might struggle to find a decent buy below that 20k Mark, probably take more time and go for something more in the 25k range.
The difference in condition seems quite substantial, although there are some outliers that seem alright.

Hey guys, I am now the owner of a 05 v6 Grande with 150,000km on the clock
Picked it up for $19,500. Has a full service history ~ every 10,000 km's and drives beautifully.
Has the usual wear and whatnot on the leather seats and also a single dash crack on passenger side (i know it can get worse :/) but it was a good deal i feel and very happy with the purchase. Will buy a dash mat initially to cover up the dashboard cracking and if it gets worse will consider a more expensive solution.
But yeah thanks for all the help guys i'm really stoked with the buy, i also called Toyota or 'City Toyota' where it was serviced and they said it hadn't had any dramas in its lifetime.
It's got roof racks, tow ball, reversing camera, all the essentials really. One thing i would like to sort out is music, i'm not a huge fan of those flashy aftermarket flashing light head units, and don't want to spend a fortune on a car thats 12 years old. so any audio solutions you guys have found let me know!
Probably be seeing me around a bit more now i'm an owner.

As for the head unit change it all comes down to personal preference and what you want the unit to consist of EG Nav, Appleplay / Android car als what reversing camera is currently in use and a head unit to match or save the replacement of camera, When I replaced my headunit (GXL) a couple of year back I went for a Pioneer AVIC F60 DAB because I wanted the nav, apple play and dvd so all the fruit. I bought it from Pioneer ebay store for a steal $999 including freight and a reversing camera along with the full 12m pioneer warranty and it's worked flawlessly since then. Worth a shot to maybe set a budget or wish list and see what is around and the local shops (supercheap etc) then go onto their store and but the next version up for the same if not cheaper price.
cheers KJ

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kenwood-...sAAOSwUM5Z-l~H
the kenwood ddx917ws, would fit the dash perfect, but not cheap, however with the 20% discount brings it down to ~800ish (edit: might not have the tech20 ebay sale on :/). not bad for a good system, and for a car I want to hold on to for a good 10+ years want to make it as funcational as possible.
Tough one though.
Cheers
