    Looks pretty good!
Will be interested to see your thoughts once GPS and microphone are both working. I've got the factory toyota GPS and the whole interface is utter rubbish.

Sorry I should have made it clear that the GPS antenna and mic do work OK, I ended up with the GPS above the dashmat which is a bit amateurish but gets a better signal there. The mic is stuck on the side of the speedo at present and the phone works, people can hear me OK. I decided not to take out any door pillar trim or alter any factory wiring at least for now so have taken the simplest if not the prettiest option.

You are welcome to have a look at my unit before you order one if we are not too far apart.
        Thank you John.

I spoke to an installer and he charged me $500 for the new facia kit and then he said I’m able to put any unit you want. Still thinking which is the best way to go.

Yes it is all down to personal taste, I am sure that Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood make very good units. I am afraid that as well as being too expensive I didn't want to be forced to use maps and software dictated by the manufacturers as this was my main gripe about the factory system.
That is why I chose a cheap Chinese system that use the android O/S. I can now load the same android apps as you would have on any android device without any restriction. For instance being a satellite geek as well I have tried the Vu+ player which can stream any channel from the satellite box to the head unit. I am sure that this is illegal and of course I wouldn't dream of using it when driving but it just illustrates what is possible.

John is this the same unit you brought from the same seller?

No although it looks very much the same, mine came from here:

              https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Aolu...311.0.0.o2RsQX

I am pretty sure that the link you have provided was one of the several companies I contacted to ask if it would work in a right hand drive vehicle. All apart from the one I eventually chose said that it wouldn't. When I persisted to ask why they replied with comments such as "the hazard button is the wrong side" I then replied saying "surely the worst that this could mean is longer wires" some of them then said that "the canbus was different" My questions as to what effect this would have went unanswered.
I decided to ignore this advice and then the first company I ordered from insisted that I cancel the order as they were so sure that it would not work.
As I have posted before when it arrived I was very pleasantly surprised at how "plug and play" it was, the hazard button is a slight issue but the factory harness is long enough to change side providing you wait until the new unit is almost slid fully in before attempting to plug it in.
I am still playing around with it, I have been delighted to see that a £3 ELM327 BT dongle works a treat with torque pro, and also how simple it was to change to an up to date iGO map. This was my main reason for going to all this trouble as toy motor will never have one.
Once I discovered that the Chinese makers had stolen the firmware from Joying (at least I think so as their password for factory settings works) I was able to swap around the drivers door on the display etc.
There have been a few niggles for me like the radio always comes on at boot even if you switch it off on the home screen. Eventually it dawned on me that you need to switch it off from the "return or back" button so mostly problems so far have been down to my ignorance.

I'm drawn to this one as it appears to support the factory amp ect.

Does yours have the fuel info displayed ect?

Why does the forum keep doing double posts?

No it doesn't have fuel info that I have noticed yet and also my unit does not have an SD card either unless the slot is hidden away somewhere.
Have you messaged them to see what their response is to fitting in a right hand drive vehicle? as most of the units they list as being sold have gone to Russia (.ru?)
I do intend to add at least a DAB+ module to my unit and would consider changing it if someone like yourself got one that I thought was better or had more functions etc.

Another observation from a bit more fiddling with the unit re your question about fuel info. It does have an app called "vehicle" which brings up a page similar to the one shown at the beginning of the description of the unit that you are interested in. Unfortunately the buttons don't appear to do much though.
I looked again in the factory settings menu as I wonder if this could be something to do with the canbus decoder. There are over 100 options for different vehicles in there, mine is on Rav4 and Camry not on Prado, yet despite this most stuff seems to be read OK from the canbus.
There is an interesting thread over on XDA forum saying that canbus decoders are specific to a head unit manufacturer and it is hard to buy one without first buying a head unit. If you do go for this model of HU could you ask them if they could supply a spare decoder, I would gladly give you the cost and a bit extra to get my hands on a different one to play with.

                        Hi John
I changed my 2016 SR Hilux to a aftermarket head unit, that one has the Camry can bus.
All seems to work ok, only thing is the front doors show opposite side open, rear ok.
I got the front dash cam with mine, but that is giving me a headache at the moment. It seems not to read the micro card in it.
New micro card is 8 gig.
Mine looks OE from looking outside, like a tablet sitting on the front of the dash.
How did you get your doors changed to show right opening symbol.
                        Cheers
                        Charlie

My unit has the door settings in android settings, factory settings, canbus tab, then you will see rudder which I set to right and front door which is set to either normal or swap. I have forgotten which way around it was but if yours is the same you will soon get it changed.
My canbus is/was on something like "08 Camry Rav 4 simple & raise" there are other options like "hiworld" and some others that I cant remember, any ideas what these mean anyone?
Edit a search reveals that they are manufacturer names of the decoder. (I think)

Have you had a chance to try all the other functions? It may be an idea to have a look in the menu to see what canbus it is set on by default, although this may be nothing to do with your camera problem.
Do you mean the rear camera? the advert for your unit claims camera and panoramic camera work. My unit displays the camera when reverse is selected even if the unit is switched off.
