2014 Kakadu 150 KDR multimedia (Fujitzu Ten) system issues

Hi All,
I am having issues with my 2014 Kakadu multimedia system.

Non of my steering wheel buttons are working related to navigation system. System crashed quit a few times but recovered after restart. After month or two Navigation voice guidance has been disappeared . Issue has been checked by Toyota dealer and since they upgrade the software, non of the steering wheel controls are working. Toyota dealer has no idea why its happened.

Has anyone encountered similar problems with the multimedia system on your Kakadu ?

I have a 2016 Kakadu. Recently the system started to boot from scratch every time the car has been turned on. I then noticed that the GPS stopped working. I am unsure which brand it is. Local dealer is ordering a replacement unit. I doubt any of this helps you however.

Thanks for the reply. Local dealer advised me to replace the unit but car no longer under warranty. Model Fujitzu Ten 13TDANOC -CA02.
If you still have the unit on your.,car you can check the model and software version under general settings > Upgrade ?

Gday, not sure about the Kakadu, but the MY14 Facelift Fujitsu head units are notorious for failing.

Mine failed (on a '14 GX) after 2years and 90kms (constant rebooting in the end). Replaced under warranty. There are a few threads on it, and some having a win with claiming out of warranty periods, due to it being a well known fault.

Have a search for head units, radio faults, otherwise I will look one up for you.

Don't believe the bs from the dealer. It's in there interest to make you buy a new one. Push the issue with Toyota. Tell them you know of plenty of people that have had this unit fail. Ignore there crap about a warranty and keep pushing them and quote things from the ACCC website on consumer guarantees. A radio unit like this should not fail so fast on such an expensive car. Toyota would know about the problem and really don't want people making waves.

It's very hard to push dealer as I don't have warranty on the car (expired 4 months ago). I am not sure how I can directly engage with Toyota. Do you guys have any contact number for Toyota ?
