Rexdog, I think that's a BFG tyre, the KO2. Make sure you get the LT version as some retailers seem to do both. BFG say that THEY only import LTs and they only honour THEIR warranty if sold by approved retailer - Bob Jane etc. Online sellers don't qualify. However Toyo advised that their warranty applies no matter who sells the tyre. Have read good reports about Toyo LT Open Country MTs but assume the AT2s are similar quality [they have both too in some sizes]. The load ratings on the LTs are substantially higher for the same dimension tyre for Toyo and BFG.

Thx piggy. That is certainly the way I am leaning. Issue of different retailers of rims and tyres if I take the BJ 4 for price of 3 alloys which is a $200+ saving. Main issue is whether the 265 65 17 will actually fit without rubbing anywhere. OBviously if BJ supplied both and they didnt fit I would be within rights to tell them to take them off and put a 16 x 7 265 70 16 on; that would be a safer option from the outset but another, mere, 15mm of height is enough to pursue it for me.

Assuming you have a 150 Prado because this thread is in the 150 section, then you should forget about the 16".
The 265/65R17 is the standard factory size so no reason it won't fit unless you chose some ridiculous offset.
I would just go with the Toyo in factory size and stick with the factory alloys. Don't think too much into the "belly" thing.
