Hello all, just joined from Ireland. Have a 1996 Prado SWB 3.0TD Auto and want to carry out some modifications. The first of these will be to upgrade the suspension system by fitting a Pedders 1.75 inch lift kit. I then want to ditch the standard wheels & tyres and fit either 285/75/16's or 305/70/16's. I was looking at wheel and tyre packages and one is available using 10x16 ET-32 black steel rims. I know modifications would have to be made to the front mudflaps and inner body seam but, do you think it would be possible for me to use any of the above tyre sizes with the mentioned rims? Would I have to make further modifications to make any of them fit correctly?
The reason why I want to go for such a wide wheel and tyre is simply to fill the arches and look meaner. The LC will be predominantly used on road.
