    Parts required;
    Suspension upgrade kit - $3150 posted
    Front diff drop kit - Superior Engineering - $165 + postage.
    Wheel alignment - $110

    Potential modifications;
    Front shock rebuild and CDCV upgrade.
    New rear 2.5" CDCV shocks
    Black Hawk UCA.

    What I would do differently if I was to do it again;
    I would spring the extra coin and purchase the 2.5" CDC valve shocks.

    Icon shock have Digressive valving so they are quite stiff at slow speed and soften up at higher speed.
    You definitely feel this especially when you fit All terrain tires, I replaced the rear springs with Progressive rate to try and reduce this in the rear of the vehicle.
    The rear dampers are listed for US 1991-2007 Landcruiser 80/100 series and the front for 2010+FJ/4Runner.
    Have completed the Gibb river road, a short section of the Tanami road to Wolf creek and a trip to Cape Leveque without any issues.

    Re- Icon kit.... I am seriously considering this suspension... but I haven't found much on the forum about them...

    Do you or does anyone out there have any data on this suspension??

    Open, closed lengths?
    spring free length and spring rates?
    Are the springs made by them or are they king springs?

    I note you went for the 100 series springs... as opposed to the FJ springs

    These are what I'm looking at

    Rear springs options
    3 Inch lift variable rate - 501-fj-cruiser-overland-lift-rear-coil-springs.html
    2 Inch - 103-2007-current-fj-cruiser-2-lift-rear-coil-springs.html
    Leaning towards the 3inch lift springs... given the progressive rate..

    As for shocks - its hard to know where to start... noting the vast array of information regarding 150 vs 120 vs FJ on here...

    Background - I'm an aussie expat living in Saudi Arabia so I can't source any Aus specific gear as shipping is a killer... so this has lead me to this US kit...
    I have a 2010 V6 Petrol VX... Front - no bullbar - just dual battery... Rear - loaded up - custom ali draws, fridge, typically loaded up to the brim on weekends with kids, dive / kitesurf gear - so gets heavy. Alu-Cab Roof top tent with awning ~110kg... Drive offroad to the beach most weekends so suspension gets a hammering.. Also head out to the desert sometimes towing motorbike trailer but that is secondary... I unload the fridge and gear but still have the tent and draws for everyday commuting - with heaps of speed humps and an off road shortcut to work every day... need to order the right gear first time as postage can take fair while...

    Any advice would be surely appreciated

      I went through Autocraft in Melbourne.
      It was a stage one kit.
      The front struts are adjustable between 0-3" lift, we settled on 45mm and have installed a Superior suspension front diff drop kit to bring the front driveshafts back into alignment.
      The front strut assembly has Icon springs fitted (FJ) but the rear came with 100 series ICON shock absorbers and Dobinson C59-325 rear springs.
      The ride was way to stiff for my liking so I replaced the rear springs with Rear Kings KTPR-102T
      I'm happy with the upgrade but as in my previous post I would go for the CDCV upgrade so I can soften the car up.
      At speed on the corrugations it soaks them up with ease.
      Have a look at Kings suspension http://www.kingshocksaustralia.com.a...ts.html#toyota
      Going 3" I would also look at replacing the UCA's as well.
      I would also look into air bags for the rear.
