Hi all,
I'm looking at replacing my current tyres which are the standard size for my 2010 150 GXL (265/65/R17). Two tyre shops in town (Gympie QLD) have told me that I need to fit a suspension lift to the prado to enable me to install the size tyres I want (265/70/R17) as they claim with stock springs etc. the tyres will scrub on various bits and pieces inside. This seems odd to me as raising a vehicle will not move the wheels any futhur away from various attachments behind the tyre. Just looking for anyone with first hand experience in fitting tyres to an unmodified car- The suspension will be getting raised in the coming weeks, just would like to know if I can do the tyres first. Looking at fitting BFG KO2's or Toyo Open Country AT's for refrence.
