  • Oil flush additives

    Hi all,
I come back from working away and noticed themissis has accumulated upwards of 30,000kms on the '07 Prado since its last service.
Vehicle has about 150k on the clock.
Wanting to know should I putand oil flush additive in it before I change the oil??
If so what does everyone recomend?
    Thanks in advance.

My understanding is oil flush additives can and or may root a perfectly good engine. Heard enough stories of folks hurting engines using this stuff.

If there is gunk and build up in yr donk, its most likely not doing any great harm as it isnt interfering with moving parts. Yet.

You throw sludge cleaner in there and all that sludge is going to find its way into nooks and moving parts that u dont wont it to on its way out, if it finds its way out.

If it was me, id fill up with some oil and idle it on the hoist for couple of mins and drain. Then id do a full fill drive for a week and drain again.

Then refill and yr done for another service, jmo..
