    • I didn't have to adjust the height, I also have an Altitude model which has a dial that I can use to adjust it anyway. I'm not sure if other models have this feature

      • Thanks Starbuck. Did you get the 6200K 0r the 4000K ones, and was there any problems fitting them with the heat sink protruding out the back?? And What sort of price did you get them for?? Phil

I got the 6200K ones and there is no problem fitting them, there is plenty of room on both sides even with the second battery. see photo here

            • My only concern is their apparent lack of water seal on the light module.

                • We recently purchased a new 2.8D4D GXL with manual transmission and today's job was to start modifying.

Took the rear seats out to free up some space and then made up a floor to protect the wiring etc that is exposed after seat removal. The floor will get a coat of sealant and then I'll glue some carpet to it. It's bolted to two of the seat mounting holes and a couple of smaller holes in the back corners.
Note the row of screws along the back edge only hold the spacer under the ply, they aren't fixed into the metal!

We had a false floor in our 90 series which I'll modify and install in the 150. It sits about 200mm above the ply and has a drawer system and fridge. The gap between the false floor and ply stores the tour tent, chairs and table etc.

Next was to add a USB outlet and install the P3 brake controller. Always fun pulling a brand new car apart, my wife reckons she can't watch! Thanks for all the info on this site, made the job a whole lot easier!

                  • Today I purchased a bargain from eBay.

Got a Rhino Rack Pioneer SX Platform with full rail kit, RRP $1183 for only $500

best part is the guy purchased it put it on his car, didn't use it, 3 weeks later sold it to me!

                    • Thought I'd relocate the USB/AUX port today.

                      wasn't too had.

Remove the center middle console and disconnect the cable for the USB/AUX connection. then you will need to make it a little bit longer, as you can see in the photo you need to remove some tape and pull the cable back up the plastic tube.

                      its the grey one...

then run it up left of the searing wheel, i placed it here as i have a magnetic mount that the phone sits on just left of the dash so its very convenient to mount the phone and connect it to the USB/AUX port.

                      • Changed the engine oil & filter, changed both fuel filters and changed the timing belt while I was at it. Solid day in the shed!

                          • Today install the video in motion unit. Now i can watch dvd while driving(well i am not). Main reason I brought and install it so i can use full mobile function like dialing/ contact search etc n also use navigation while driving(passenger use). Now i dont have to stop on side of the road to use mobile or navigation. These are on factory headunit kakadu. Rest all function are same as before. Brought it from Japan n cost me $200 with shipping. Installation was 10 minutes job clip clip n one wire earth done.
And the next thing will be wifi mirrorlink. So phone display come on factory screen. Waiting for parts. Cheers
