SPARE WHEEL Hard Cover

I have just bought a 2005 GXL Prado. It came without the spare wheel hard cover and i am wondering, before i go out and buy one, is will the standard hard cover still fit on with 265 - tyres on standard rims. Any help would be appreciated.

Also i am wonder exactly what my vehicle is coded as i.e 1KZ-te?? It has a 3000 turbo deisel in it. Not D4D

What profile are you planning? 265/65/r17 will fit fine but 265/70/r17 wont.

Yeah i definatly have 265's but unsure if i have 65 or 70 profile. I am away at work so won't know for sure till i get home. Thanks heaps for your assistance.

Has anyone tried putting a hard spare wheel cover on 275/65/17's? I have been thinking of getting one and would be interested if anyone here has done it before.

I've got 275/65/17s on my 120 GXL and when I go on trips I take my cover off all together because allthough it fits the standard 265/65/17 spare it won't go over the 275/65s.
