Guest repliedJust make sure that the wires on the back of the connectors matches with a corresponding wire on the mating connector.
Also check for bent pins in the connector.
Then also check that the large connector to the left of the AC controls are fully seated. I'm not sure if the audio wires goes through this connector but have experienced the lack of power to the center console when this plug isn't seated all the way in.

PZQ60-00141 has 3 long cables, one purple & white, second is red and the third green with a fuse holder. Does anyone have a wiring diagram?
Thanks
Dave
the red is for the handbrake ( but i connected it to earth)
green is the reverse wire
i think you will need to use both the adaptors as one is a 20 pin to 28 pin
mine used all the plugs and worked straight away

Hi,
Thanks for the info.
00141 also connects up the steering wheel controls. I have tried as you have done many times but still no luck re the sound. When I reconnect the old radio everything works.
what Toyota dealer did you use, my local one know nothing!
Thanks Dave

The PZQ60-00141 is the wiring loom for the reverse camera only. The sound should work without it. Purple and white then green is all that is needed. I did it a few months ago and connected the cables with the supplied scotch locks to other cables in the left side of the passenger footwell where the ecu is. Unfortunately I dont have the exact instructions I got from my Toyota dealer anymore
I had the same problem with no sound when I installed the same stereo. I checked and rechecked every cable a few times. Then magically 1 time it started working. I figured it was either a loose wire or plug that wasn't sitting quite right

This is the one I have:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rs/AVH-X4500BT
Its a few years old now, but still love it!
Reversing camera, bluetooth streaming & bluetooth mic, full ipod integration - everything works spot on, probably the best head unit I have owned.
I bought it from sonic electronix in the US when the dollar was good, ended up about $550 delivered.
It doesnt have built in navigation, however it is compatible with the pioneer plug in navigation AVIC-U250 which you can pick up for $400-ish and then it will work as a fully integrated system.
I was going to go down that route, however once I got it installed, I was using google maps on my iphone whilst it was connected via bluetooth & it actually gives you turn by turn navigation via the headunit - it just comes up as a phone call, gives you the direction & then goes back to playing music.
So I never bothered as it works just as good as integrated navigation - and is a lot more user friendly whilst using your phone to figure out your destination!

does that pioneer unit have sat nav ?
i fitted a Kenwood DNN9150BT into mine cost $1500
was told all sorts of stuff , like speed camera locations etc, when installed
had issues reading the screen, no speed alerts ( they dropped it for this model i actually wanted the DNN9350BT was told it was the older unit )
so i argued for a while and ended up returning it for a full refund
brought the Toyota 4" screen to get the camera function , then found the latest large screen unit
screen is easy to read
sat nav works pretty well ( still working out how to show my speed ???)
blue tooth works but might get the external mike from Fujitsu 10 around $90

TBH, if you are going to spend $500+ on upgrading to just another factory radio, id seriously suggest going after market.
I haven't seen a factory head unit that out performs a quality after market(pioneer/Alpine) head unit yet.
Sound quality & power alone is well worth it - it'll make your standard car audio system sound better than it ever will!
Having said that, if you can get the factory upgrade one cheap then go for it.
But you can get a good Pioneer unit for $500 ish.

Pzq60-00535 fits straight in no worries, I can't see the 537 unit having any different connections on the rear. You need adapters PZQ60-00141 & PZQ60-00161. Enjoy

Radio upgrade , 2015 into 2008 Prado
Hi, I have a 2008 Prado and want to fit a radio/gps/rear camera radio from a 2015 Toyota 86 (PZQ60-00537).
Has anybody done a similar retro fit?
I really need both sets of radio wiring diagrams and , so far have been unable to find a complete one for either. I also need a source of connectors as 3 are different. And pointers in this direction?
Thanks
