Guest repliedRhino doesn't have the part number listed in their fitting instructions. However this page shows the bar used on the 150
http://www.rhinorack.com.au/Vehicle_...rado_4500.aspx
The part number for the whole set is SXBS8.
The Toyota bars I measured from wooley were 1260mm long not including the plastic end caps.
The Aero bars with end caps have the following part number RAB1250S. There is also A155 which I think is the Aero bar only without the end caps.
The Aero and Sportz bars differ by the locking end caps. There is a slot in the Sportz bar for the locking tab.Last edited by amts; 22-10-2011, 07:23 AM.

Guest repliedCould do with just straps to the cross bars, or 2 eyebolts on each crossbar, and strap down forming an X over the tyre.

Will still need to though I think as a means of securing the load.Originally posted by amts View Postwooley,
Hope you took note that the crossbar centre distance is 770mm for your setup withthe Mk2. Should be able to fit 265/70R17 tyres on the crossbars without adding planks, etc

How can you space the bars further apart if they are the fixed 3 bar system? is what amts doing for the ones that are movable on the north west rails.
Thanks amts, didn't read your last post.

Guest repliedIt's a tad complicated.
There are 2 bracket version. The first one I worked on based on my 3 bar HD setup on a 120 mounted to roof with the older Mk1V2 Maxtrax, which I have. Post #364 and #372.
2nd version (post #388) is the most generic to suit Aero/sportz mounted on 120/150 factory rails and Maxtrax Mk1/Mk2. The careful positioning of the holes for the Maxtrax for both Mk1 & Mk2 while still maintaining correct hole centering for the hilift jack makes the bracket generic. To fit the Mk1 or Mk2 Maxtrax onto the bracket, you will need to adjust the centre distance of the crossbars to 810mm for Mk1 or 770 for Mk2. The hole centres for the Maxtrax and hilift will all line up nicely.
Still thinking of the pin design for Mk1. For Mk2, you will need to get the pins as supplied by Maxtrax.Last edited by amts; 21-10-2011, 10:38 AM.

You'll have to have the bars spaced further apart for the mkII as they are slightly longer.Originally posted by toddy View Postamts, are these holders for north south mounted bars or the 3 bar system with fixed feet? not sure how it can fit both MK1 and 2 versions???
I may have missed a comment explaining above...
Thanks,
I think amts was going to have two sets of vertical holes and the mkII are wider? or maybe the mkI were wider... either way.

I had this in my head and needed to get it on paper/CAD. Now that I have CAD at home, it will make it easier to look into the rear bar.Originally posted by ondaboat View PostAndrew stay focused on the rear bar, my Maxtrax's are already mounted.
Yes, they will be built depending on interest. It looks like there will be greater numbers for the Aero/Sportz bar version as it can be used on 120/150 and Maxtrax Mk1/Mk2. Maybe I'll have to start another thread for expression of interest.Originally posted by LostDingo2 View PostNow this looks pretty cool. I like the design with the quick fists and the Maxtrax. So are you planning on having these built as well?

There are studs on the bracket and the hi-lift goes onto the studs and held on with nuts.
Adjacent hole is for padlocking.
Hi-lift handle will need to be tied down somehow.
Hi-lift base should be out of harms way when opening the passenger door.
Quick fists used as a shovel holder.
This bracket is for 120 Prado with HD bars mounted directly onto the roof. Compatible with Maxtrax Mk1 V2 only.
