No, the new ones can't stack onto the old ones.

Re: Maxtrax
Can the new and old versions be stacked together? I also ordered some of the new hold downs they have now I am thinking they only work for the new versions  Should have read more closely as their site does say for the MKII only
I would like a second set so I have 4 total but if they don't stack might be an issue.

Re: Maxtrax
I mount my maxtrax to the roof bars. I place the bars so that the grab handles on the maxtrax are centered right above them. I then strap it to the bar through the grab handles... Problem is there are two studs directly in the middle of where the grab handles are, which makes a nasty indent on the rubber on the bars once I've strapped it down. Something I hope maxtrax has fixed in V2 or the next version..

Re: Maxtrax
Yep, yours are V1 MkII. Look for the keyholes at the corners... that's the quickest/easiest way to tell the V2 from the V1.Originally posted by WilliamI think the ones I have are the older ones:

The ones I took a picture of don't look like the ones I have. The edges are curved and I the stud pattern is different.

I like the look of the new design. With my ones, mud and crap gets stuck in the middle. It makes it hard to stack after recovering from clay. I have to take it home and go at it with the Gerni to get it off.
Regards filling with mud.
I just give them a good whack on a tree trunk or something and find that most mud falls out. Still hit them with a pressure spray afterwards but that gets most out.
I haven't used my new ones in anger yet but we did use the prototypes of the V2 on Stockton beach and they didn't seem to hold as much muck after use as the earlier design.

The picture William has posted is the latest version... V2 I think it's called.Originally posted by D4DAre these V1 or V2?
I think there has been a V1 MkI, a V1 MkII and now a V2 MkI.
Not exactly sure but that how I seem to remember it.
