Re: Maxtrax
Wow really? I've never seen them go for that cheap, are you sure its not one of those "up to 20% off" sales. They only put the crap stuff on 20% sale and the stuff you really want either at normal prices or just a bit under.

Re: Maxtrax
I would be waiting for a 20% off sale, should be one soon, that would be around 235.

Got some mk2's from tinnie and tackle show for $259, better than $299 from the normal ripoff merchants :-)

Re: Maxtrax
Sounds like you were lucky and have the MkIIOriginally posted by boomer52Got mine from BCF thursday and they have the correct holes for the pins, does that mean I got Mk11's ?
You can easily tell - the MkII has three lonitudinal braces and the MkI has two with raised cones in between.

Yes it is LFaR Prado, photo from the 2009 GTG.Originally posted by MadkoreSupercheap Auto is also flogging them for $275, but they are the MKII by the looks.
More importantly though, flick to page 2 of their Easter catalogue and have a look at the promo photo they have used. Looks familiar...
Not sure if this is Oz wide, but it is in the WA one.

They did mention Ray's as well.Originally posted by amtsThere you go, learn something new everyday. I Googled and found that Ray's Outdoors also belong to the Super Retail Group.Originally posted by TrekriderAlso found out Supercheap and BCF are the same company - didn't know that.
I just went back and bought a set of the MkII from Supercheap.
I have seen people in this thread saying how the MkII can be used for bridging as they have higher longitudinal strength. On the instruction sheet that comes with them it states "DO NOT USE on hard/rocky ground, for bridging, as a ramp or below -10 degree C". Where did the idea they can be used for bridging come from?

Re: Maxtrax
Wouldn't that be niceOriginally posted by iantzDoesn't that become and Issue for BCF to sort out then?? They sold the two products as a pair and they don't match up? Maybe they can 'replace' them with the MKII
I would definitely get a set then.
