They seem pretty much the same but $100 cheaper... Saw them at ARB yesterday while I was picking up the rig after the lift
I have a mate who has a set, he reckons they are crap, I reckon my Maxtrax are the best thing since sliced bread. Haven't seen the XTRAX being used, only going on what my mate told me.
Cheers Andrew

I brought mine at easter... Probably the best piece of recovery gear i own! Makes those situations where you would either have hours of digging or putting other 4x4's under strain by snatching almost disappear (for sand driving anyway) $275 from SCA
Anyone want pink MAXTRAX? I have some and assume Brad has some in Australia. I will post up some pics soon.

I want some black or green maxtrax. Are they ever going to be available?
Paul
There's orange, black, tan and green currently listed on the Maxtrax site.

Kick it to me, kick it to meeeeeeeee
My hubbie can have the safety orange ones for his hilux!!
What do I have to do to get/find pink ones for my prado???
I bought a hot pink esky years ago, thinking he wouldn't steal it - I was wrong, but he already has the orange maxtrax, his good wife bought them as part of his birthday Pressie
It's a bit hard to say. The vibrations the Prado will induce is the big unknown. I don't even know where to start. Best bet is to use 4mm material and either gusset it or fix it to the top rail of your basket. Might as well over engineer it for longevity (as long as you have the weight left to over engineer )
Maxtrax Brackets have been knocked up and are at a mates to be powder coated. Went for the flat bar option and gusseted. No worries about these failing. I've bought a set of mounting pins for them. I'll most likely get the bracket back early next week. Heading up to Bundy tomorrow after work and wont be back till Monday. I will post some pick on my return.
I would call MAXTRAX or go on-line http://www.maxtrax.com.au. I have some in the US, but shipping would be quite dear.
They were made for Emily Miller to use in the Baja 1000 in Mexico.
