You should get one of the MAXTRAX rear wheel harnesses. They are only $99.00. and work really well.

Or if you have a roof rack you can bolt them on with a set of RAPTOR RACKS.

We used pull down straps in the past. They are cheap straps from Bunnings with some old cut up bike tyre tubing around the strap to protect rubbing on the wheel. They say good for 500kg or something.

Can't have you wandering around on your own. When are we leaving?

Convinced. Considering that I have zero beach/4wd experience at present, these seem to be a reasonably priced, easy to use insurance policy for the big trip across Australia. Plan on visiting as many isolated and remote beaches as i can on the way (how else to get the missus to go topless?!!?) and the glowing reviews of their performance, coupled with some common sense, should hopefully see me out of trouble!

I have 3 pairs now, 2 x MK2 and 1 x MK1. 6 wheels on the ground so I figure 6 Maxtrax would be helpful if I get into trouble with the camper in tow.

If you order the mounting bolts from Rays Outdoors they may not come with nuts and washers. They are ment to as of about 2 years ago when Maxtrax started with the nuts and washers. I had this issue recently. It's cheaper to get the mounting kit through Maxtrax website if you call them.
