Back when I fitted the bar up, those retainers weren't available as a spare part. This is photo of the ones I made , paint just starting to come off after more than 10years. Original phots are on post 24 on this thread. If you need I can measure up on the ones I made where the folds need to be made.

Yes, those were the bits that are missing. I was hoping to fashion something out of some plate I have. Looks like it probably won't be a completely flat piece like I'd hoped.

I'm missing those pieces on my bullbar. Are you able to trace it on a piece of paper? I might attempt to cut a plate to suit to fill the gap left by these 2 missing corner plates.

    Hi Guys,

I'm hoping someone can help me with regard to attaching the inner front wheel guard to the bullbar.

Looking at the instructions, it is a bit unclear to me. Once the bar is fitted, do I attach the guard to this metal undercover piece that fits into the corner of the bullbar?

I've attached a few photos to help explain what I'm asking.

    Thanks
    Jon

    Thanks Sparksy,
I see what you did there and it was pretty creative. I made up some brackets to secure the inner guards as they would rub on the wheels once I got over 80-90km. It has not been a problem since but at some stage I would like to fit the correct parts. i will keep an eye out for a Prado being parted out that has a damaged bar and grab the plates.

Check out post #24 of this thread. I had same problem and made them out of the old bumper.
there is also in following posts 25 and 28 a diagrams with dimensions for a bash plate to fit under bar to protect radiator.

Hi all, just joined this fantastic forum. I have had a 03 Prado for 18 mths (had 59k on the clock when I got it) and I just love it as much as it loves petrol. I now have a Toyota over bumper bullbar to fit and need to get the OEM bumper off to fit the brackets, can someone please tell me how to do this, Toyota instructions say the job will take 30 mins...think its gonna be longer than that! Thanks in advance, cheers Leigh

I am in the middle of fitting the bullbar and was wondering how those who went before me fitted the inner plastic guards. I am guessing that they get fed into the bull bar wings and then raise the bar up to mounting position. Is this correct? I am also assuming that there is no need to use screws as the guards are held captive in the bullbar wings. Any advice is appreciated.

    Hi all,

I have been through the thread and tried all the links they don’t appear to be active any more.
I am fitting a winch to my 2003 Prado and need to fit the sovereign bar upgrade bracket kit and winch cradle kit.
Can someone please send me the removal and installation instructions so I don’t break something. Thank you.
Please email me at [email protected]
