120 Sovereign Bullbar

Son recently had his Hilux Genuine Bull Bar replaced after it was damaged it was replaced with Toyota Original which is almost identical to the Prado 120 Sovereign Bar. I though I would share the documentation from Toyota that came with the Bar.

Your Hilux has a separate chassis and body connection by rubber mounts.
As the Bull Bar is rigidly mounted to the chassis, relative movement between the Bull Bar and body - even under normal driving conditions - will be observed.
Appearance and Product Care:
This Bull Bar is made of aluminium that has been polished to produce the high luster. It is important to carry out the following as regular maintenance to remove oxidation/stains on the bar surface to keep the bar in good condition:
Wash regularly with car was`detergent, hose off and chamois dry.
Stubborn grime can be removed with kerosene.
The polished metal surface can be maintained with Autosol or Similar
Plastic components can be maintained with Nulon Ezi-Glide silicon spay or similar.
Due to different manufacturing processes, the luster between the upright and the rest of the bar is similar but not identical - this is normal.

Thanks for the info. My 120 was second hand and it was fitted from new with a Sovereign Bull Bar. Great to know how to keep it looking good! I want to replace the old attached driving lights with some LED 9'' but I don't think there is enough clearance to include the light and the bracket. I measured it to be 9.25 inches. I have a light bar on the roof so round lights on the bar would be good

The 9" light and bracket wont fit directly under the top bar, you need to mount them slightly forward just enough to allow a bit of up/down adjustment.

I ended up re drilling the holes on my brackets to lower the lights and allow them to be mounted inside the bar line. Those brackets are as hard as!
