Paint/clear coat peeling – anything to stop it getting worse?

I'm not too fussed about these spots of what looks like the clear coat peeling on my lovely 120 Prado. However, I'm looking for advice here in case anybody knows if there is something I could/should do to stop them from getting worse. These are the only two spots on the vehicle that have this peeling. I feel by looking at these patches that it's likely that the peeling could continue around the edges of the patches, making them slowly get bigger. Is there something I could do to stop this happening?

Mine's peeling at the same area, plus the upper doors near the window seals.
I've purchased some primer, 2k clear and colour matched the colour so Im going to give it a go at repainting it. Once it cures I'll wet sand and buff so hopefully it matches with the existing clear.
