By the way the leak was found to be from the little hole that was drilled to fit the electrical cable through. They sealed it from the outside and let's see how it goes now!

Very Happy - had mine since November, and all good. $1950 installed at Opposite Lock, Springwood (cause we booked in two cars at once).

Yeah I've made my mind up and am currently hunting quotes to have both diffs done with the Harrop E-Locker. Only drama is getting someone to do it up at home or else its a drive south for me and leave it in Perth for a while. Have a bloke up home that says he can do the work but needs to see the car first to determine labor hours. He says a vehicle in good condition will take 10hrs labor cost to complete, minimum.

My mechanic said about 8hrs, Harrop said about 7 and thats for the front locker.

Edited: So yes about 2 days for 2 lockers.

Yeah one of the shops in Perth is saying they need the car for two days to install both. Will be one of the biggest single mods on her yet so im keen to have it done properly.

Most OL shops offload the front locker to a diff specialists. They don't want to deal with IFS. Rear lockers are done in house

Wiring is pretty straight forward, I'm still keen to wire the main switch via the H/HL/LL selectable gear lever so one cannot engage the locker without engaging the HL or LL first

                    lockers

I had an Aussie locker (auto locker) installed in my rear diff 3 weeks ago and am very happy with it so far. The prado now tackles those steep loose rock inclines with finesse. no more wheelspin so my cooper STT's are not getting hammered anymore.

Well pulled the trigger on the Harrop E-Lockers for both diffs today. After a bit of messing around getting the right diff ratio for the front (its 3.9 for a 2008, 6 speed D4D) and finding the only place in WA that had both in stock im eagerly awaiting their arrival next week. Ill be off to work mid next week for 2 weeks then on holidays overseas for another 3 weeks so I wotn get to play with the new mod until March! Anyhow Ill keep an eye on the wire seal and let oyu guys know how it all goes.

                      Cheers,

Got the lockers through WA Diff Centre and will have them put in by Promac Automotive up in Broome. I considered driving back to Perth to drop it off before I went to work but decided on this setup so if there was any drama at all with the install I have the car in the same town it was installed.

                          Cheers,
