Later Model OEM Head Unit Installation

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows whether the Toyota 86 sat Nav head units can be installed in a 2008 Vx using the original wiring harness? The model number of the unit is pzq60-00533.



Would love some feedback as I have found one for sale. If not, does anyone know which of the older sat Nav units are compatible?

Having upgraded mine to a later model, I'd say yes as long as it is still a Fujitsu unit.

As long as it is a double DIN then no problems. Since it came out of a Toyota it hopefully shoulod just plug in but if not there are enough wiring kits to convert it over.

The only thing that is possibly different is the cable for the radio antenna. You may need this adaptor

Here is the connection diagram for the rear of the sat nav unit from the 86. It shows the dual connector for the antenna (J3)

Re: Antenna. Very possible. An autobarn would be able to supply that for you. But from memory is still the same old motorola/iso type. If it is gps you may run into trouble getting an antenna connection. For the most part it will be plug and play for the majority of the functions. Power, speakers and Steering wheel controls will function as normal. Bluetooth may or may not. Depends if the 86 requires an external mic... dont think it does.

I have the same unit in my 09 1KDJ VX just got to get around to fitting a reverse camera to it, anyone done so? would like a run down thanks
