I'm planning to replace my front door speakers as they don't very good as they've aged. I'll be using a set of Focal splits which are a direct fit into the door. How hard is it to install sound insulation on the outer skin of the door (behind the speaker)? Is the speaker opening large enough to get in through and do the job? I was planning to dynamat the outer skin to reduce road noise and minimise music being heard ouside the car.

It is simple, but not easy to put a large section into the door. Better to cut pieces that are easy to fit into the gaps in the door.
Put them in the inside of the doors and all across the floor of the 79 series 4 door Cruiser.
