Hi Guys , been a member a few years just lurking in the shadows. I have a 2008 gxl 3.0 d4d prado since new and I have managed to score a PZQ60-000535 head unit from a 2013 hilux.
From other threads I am led to believe that all I need to get the head unit working Is x2 adapters pzq60-00141 and pzq60-00161 which I have on order from my local dealer for $43.
Now my question is what reversing camera can I get to work with the head unit? do I need a genuine toyota or can I trawl the bowels of eBay for a $30 unit?
Is it better to pay for a decent camera or do the cheap chinese units work?
I am also led to believe that my car is prewired for a camera........Still to check in the rear door panel. Does anyone know it the connector for the cable to the camera behind the stock radio will fit directly into the PZQ60-00535 or do I need an adapter? and is the reverse signal pre wired?
If anyone has any manuals/wiring diagrams or details on the connectors or wiring colour codes for either my stock radio/cd player or the new PZQ60-000535 it may help me with the transfer.
Any recommendations ,advice or comments are most welcome.
Cheers Karl
