08 VX aircon ticking under the dash

Hi, I have recently noticed a solanoid under the dash operating erratically and becoming noisy. In addtion to that, the tempature setting and the cold v's hot air does not seem to triger correclty. when the outside air temprature is 22C and the system is set for 26C it still blows cold airconditioned air. Anyone have idea of a fix or do I need to replace the solanoid?

Hi Chris,
Pretty sure this has already been covered on a prior posting. If I recall correctly it said the solenoid switches between cooling and heating to achieve the required temperature. When a rotating gear wears its electrical contact is compromised causing eratic switching.
Do a search on the site and you will probably find it.
