  • Changing all key cylinders on 2006 Prado

    I have a problem.
I lost the only key that would open all doors on my 2006 Prado 120.
I have a key that opens the driverside door and starts the car but thats it.
I do not want to duplicate that key because it only does that.
I can of course invest in a remote for opening my doors but I rather have a keys that does that.
    Now my question is:

Can I switch out all the key cylinders on the three doors (2 front and the rear hatch) and the ignition cylinder and program a new key in the system ECU, or do I have to buy a new ECU also?

Take it to a lock smith, they can probably make a key, else Toyota might be able to supply one.

Lock smith is kind of problematic due to the location of the car. (Togo, Afrika) No good lock smiths here.
Toyota is unable to provide me with a key because I do not have a keynumber.
Even with the VIN number they can not find a key number.
Probably because the car is imported out of the Middle East.
Only thing I can think of is taking one of the cylinders out of the doors and take it to Europe and see if they can make a key from that.
