Muffler Replacement 120 1KZ diesel - Straight through or OEM?

I have repeatedly been told that when my muffler needs replacing (it now does) that I get a 'straight-thru' aftermarket muffler as a replacement. I am keeping OEM exhaust system. Any advice would be appreciated!

PS Searched muffler in PP but found nothing- although I do recall reading something on this topic)

straight thru, not much more noise but it does run better

Straight through. Lowered the EGTs by more than 60C.
The turbo itself is a very effective muffler.
