I'm going to replace the Timing Belt, Water pump & Thermostat on my 05 1KZ Prado. Done plenty of this type of work before, but wanted to know if it is necessary to remove the Radiator completly to do this on the Prado? Read a couple of different walk-throughs, and some say yes and some say no?

How old is the rad then? I would take it out just to inspect it anyway. Even at 120K mine had the fins hidden behind the aircon condenser rotting away. Replaced it with genuine Denso off Ebuy. Cooling system deficiency will kill your cyl head faster than anything else. Injectors, glowplugs? The list goes on
