Hi everyone,
Brand new to this page so please forgive me if this has been covered previously.
I bought a 2003 turbo diesel Prado about a year ago which had been looked after very well by the previous owner. It had 220,000km at the time and now has close to 230,000. I would like to continue to look after it as well as he did. I have been servicing it every 6 months so far and am happy to continue doing that but I just wanted to hear what other owners of older cars thought about getting their cars serviced at Toyota or going to independent mechanics?
Is there any benefit to taking it to Toyota? I have been taking it to an independent mechanic who specialises in 4WDs and have no complaints so far.
Also, I'd be interested to know what others pay for a general service?
This is my first diesel/4WD so am pretty inexperienced with them.
Thanks all.
