  • Turbosmart FCD-1 Fuel Cut Defender

    Have been looking at this bit of kit, has anyone used one and does putting boost up to 18 make a noticeable difference from 13 on a 1kz te.

    I made my own, simple voltage tap with 2 resistors and 2 zener diodes. Clips the signal voltage from the map sensor to 12psi. Works well.

    I can make more, if you want one, $50 posted

      I'd go the electronic route. Anything pneumatic from turbo smart is notoriously inaccurate, especially at such low boost pressures.
      Electronic FCD's have been around forever.

        Fitted 3 bar map sensor instead getting 18psi boost, will see how this goes
