D4D Engine Replacement - Recommended Company to use?

Hi All,

Our 2009 (120)- D4D engine is okay at the moment, but we have had a few issues recently and as we are planning a big trip from Melbourne to WA next year, we are looking to have it replaced early 2021.

We are after some recommendations of who to use or not to use and where to buy an engine from, outside of Toyota directly. The work will need to be completed in Melbourne, but the engine can be shipped from anywhere if required.

I'm not sure public posting on this type of topic would be suitable, so please feel free to pm directly or pass on your details and I can call if that is easier to discuss.

We have one company on the short list, but would like a few to choose from.

Seriously of you are going to that kind of effort just a a genuine "partial Engine Assy" It will come with injectors, Lines and water pump. The latest generation of pistons and injectors alone is worth the money over aftermarket junk.
