Hi All,
Just bought my first D-4D, a 2009 GXL Prado. Have taken it on some 250km runs to check it out. On multiple occasions now, after doing 100kph on the open road, when I decelerate to a stop at an intersection, and then put my foot down to accelerate, it bogs down. The RPM does not pick up, a total loss of power, but it keeps on running. I coast to a stop, put it in N, put my foot down, it revs up only slightly, but not a lot. I turn the car off, immediately restart, all back to normal, off I go again. I can be stopping and starting normally for a couple of times, but at least one in every trip, this happens. I have now learned, as I pull away and I suffer another bogging episode, I simply flick the ignition of and on whilst I am on the go, it instantaneously resets and gets going again, no need to stop.
Any idea what I need to repair or diagnose to cure this?
Thanks, Francois.
