I have been using used cooking oil as my diesel fuel for 23 years and I purchased a 2004 120 series Prado diesel last year (no not the D4D).
I have now had it for 18 months and it is loving the cooking oil fuel.
I strain, settle and filter the used cooking oil to ~5 micron and add about 10 litres of "Shandy" (where someone has to get their tank pumped out when they put petrol on their diesel tank) to the tank as well.
The Prado has good power and reasonable fuel economy (considering the roof track and towing mirrors on it)
I had to change the fuel filter twice, but the last one was 10 months ago.
Just about to go in for a minor service at 275000K. Plenty of life in her yet.
