New problem i have had - Noise and delay when starting

The last few days when i have gone to start it up first thing in the morning, the fuel pump wirrs its arse off (noise coming from the rear) and it does this for 4-5 seconds then cranks over.

I have booked it in to toyota. They said they had a similair problem with a kluger where an o-ring failed and let air in. Causing the system to bleed itself before it starts.

anyone else experianced this type of problem?

its only intermittent and i hope it does it when i leave them the car next wednesday night. They are going to put fuel pressure guages on it overnight.

Sounds just like an air leak to me. fuel drains back overnight (de-pressuring system) and fuel pump needs to pump back up to starting pressure.

the noise hasent happened since friday.. hmm.. dunno.. i might fill it up again tomorrow and see if was only problematic at a certain fuel level.
