Hi pradogxlv6,
first thing (1) prado spark plugs are done every 40000klms, as part as servicing !!!! ? (2) did you put any anti seize on the plugs? (3) the ones you took out liked fairly new suggust looking back over your 40000 klm service invoice?
sorry if I have up set you, I have done alot of curret spark plugs in the
1GR-fe engines or the 4litre v6 engines!
REALLY good write up on how to do the job
 peter

Mate .. that's an awesome write up and pics
.... and I could have done with this about 6 months ago
My research, into taking the plugs out, was conducted half in a creek and half out, while standing on a bullant's nest, with nothing but the barest essentials in tools and a desperate desire to see how much water had been sucked into the pots. ops: ops:
What I would have given then for a series of pics on how to get the plugs out ... or even where they were   ops:
Top job mate.
Just a quick question ....
I can understand what you cleaned with these ...
... but what did you clean with this ... ???
Cheers
Chippy

Sh*t Matt. You certainly do things thoroughly. I remember it being a bitch of a job with very little access and turn movement but I managed to change all mine without removing anything. I did use every size socket extension piece I own. I didn't know about contact cleaner. Hopefully it will continue to be OK.
