Hi, have a 2003 5 speed I'm trying to put on a v6 but the rear end of the crankshaft is too big to fit the flywheel on. Engine is out of a 2003 but had an auto. I took off the driven plate and spacers.

they are an extremely neat fit
you most likely need to run some emery paper around the spigot for the flywheel & inside the flywheel to clean of some off the build up
use the bolts to pull it on tightening them up evenly around
if you have a set of verniers give it a quick measure just to be sure !!2008 Dune D4D manual GXL update - with lots of fruit !! + Roma Razorback Off Road Van

Auto and manual box 1GR's in the Prado run the same crank, there's a spacer on the crank for the TC flex plate (on the auto obviously). Can you compare the two engine's cranks or don't you have the original motor any more? It's not out of a Hilux is it? There were a few changes to the crank and flywheel part no's over the years in that model.Silver '04 KZJ120~Manual~GXL~Dobinson/Kings lift~Custom valved Ironmans~Detroit Locker~Endless Air~X9 Superwinch~Madman EMS1~TJM Dual Battery~Rhino Roof Tray~120W solar panel~Foxwing awning~Bushskinz UVP~Long Ranger water tank~Bushman fridge~Steinbauer P-Box~Beaudesert 2 3/4"~Airtec Snorkel~TJM Sliders~Prico Boost Gauge~BFG-KO2s~TPMS~GME TX3420~Front and Rear Cameras~Ultimate Camper hanging off the back!

Long story short, this the second engine I've tried, did take the flex plate off other (later model) engine, but not this one yet, as it looked the same with plate still on. I've just found some pics online that I think answer my question, looks like it's just a spacer that makes it look same as later model. Will check in the morning. Will let you know how I go - thanks for help hopefully will be aok
