Does anyone here ever had a knock sensor throw error codes on the 120 v6 petrol prado. where are they located?

Nope. What code is coming up? -
I don't have a scan tool, but got the code from the jumper method and the engine light flashing sequence. was a code 52. Apparently these sensors are impossible to get at and most of the top of the engine needs to be pulled off to get at them. not uncommon for the link wire to be chewed by rats that also triggers the code. Just wanting to know if anyone has had experience with this.Comment

Might be worth double checking with a code reader to be 100% before pulling stuff off.Comment

How’s you go with this? If it was the knock sensors that needed replacing, yes indeed the heads pretty much have to come off to get to them. Definitely replace the small wiring harness whilst you’re there tooComment
