Hey all
I'm going to do the valve inspection soon (possibly when I also fix the leaky timing belt cover - most likely have the beast out of action for a few weeks at this rate). Question though... It looks like an absolute PITA to actually fix any lifters that are out of spec. Looking at my Haynes guide, obviously the timing chain(s) have to come off so the camshaft(s) can be removed. But to remove the chains, if I'm reading this right, then the oil pans have to come off, which means the diff has to come off, plus obviously everything else in the front-end (which I'd have off anyway to fix the timing belt cover).
Is this really right?? Sounds like a massive amount of work if any are out of spec. I've never touched the valves before, only ever inspected on the motorbike, so a lot of this is going to be new to me!
Thanks
Brett.
