My sons 2003 4.0 V6 had a head gasket leak. After the heads were fixed and the engine put back together it now has developed a problem. When the engine is warm and you go over 3000 rpm it runs rough and loses power. The computer points to the left camshaft. We swapped sensors and it still says left camshaft. We pulled apart the VVTI actuator and it was gummed up. Cleaned it and put it back together but the fault is still there. We have ordered a new camshaft and actuator assy and hoping this will fix it. Has anyone else had an issue like this.
