  • 3rd Row Seating Centre Headrest

I recently bought a 2004 Toyota Prado GXL. Does the 3rd row seating have a centre headrest? I don't have one and none of the cars in yards I have looked at have one. Are they a myth?

The Grande has it in a zipped pocket stored in the back of the seat when the rear seats are folded up and not in use.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

As Paul said, the headrest are stored in the zippered compartment on the right hand side, back, of the 3rd row seat on all models.

Well you learn something new everyday, just thought mine was missing. Even the dealer I bought it off didn't know it was in there!

My mate was spewing when he bought his VX 06 120, he was spewing no centre head rest, Toyota wanted $580 just for the head rest (and that was trade price) needless to say he didnt buy it, luckily because when I bought mine it wasnt there either till I spotted the zipper on the rear seat, opened it up and what did I find, a head rest. Rang my mate up and asked if he found his yet, nope, I said check blah blah blah, all I heard on the other end of the phone was ""well f*** me"" I have one lol. He had owned his for 12 months prior to me getting mine. Regards Steve

What? You expect a car dealer to know anything about cars?

I was in the exact same situation. I'm a bit anal when it comes to cars and having them complete!

Before I made the enquiry on here I went to a 4x4 wreckers and bought what I thought was a 3rd row centre headrest and it turned out to be for the 2nd row. So the wreckers didn't even know about it!

No I don't expect them to know everything. Especially since they told me the car only had a 90L fuel tank. Wasn't until I looked underneath it and saw two tanks I knew it had both a main and sub tank.

I thought all 120 series Prado's had the 180L tank capacity but the dealer claimed that it was only on models made before/after a certain date.

The guy who sold me my car spent several minutes with the shop guys looking for the sparkplug spanner in my toolkit before I put him out of his misery. The diesel models of course don't need or have them.
