    • Today i installed a set of Philips X-treme Vision +130% headlight globes, and a set of the 4wdsupacenter 9" spotlights.

The Philips globes i got from powerbulbs.com for $34 when they had the sale on. They are not much of an improvement over the standard globes, the increase in light output and improvement in light color/temperature is very subtle. The 4wdsupacenter spotlights on the other hand are exceptional, and far better than i expected for the price of them. They have a good throw and spread for most situations and put out a lot of light, would definitely buy again.

      • Out with the old Alloy Bar and fitting my new ARB Deluxe Bar. Had it powder coated in Silver to try and match the car best I can. Now to get a new ARB badge for it.

Very happy how it came out. Sold the old Alloy Bar and buyer also wanted the LED spotties, so I have ordered another set.

Awesome and looks great, did you end up finding a second hand one and a decent price or buy new?

I got one second hand and was told "everything was there". After I realised it wasn't all there, took a trip to ARB to buy all the extra bits, mostly bolts, spacers and the cage nuts/arms in the chassis. I also some new indicator/fog light surrounds and the Rubber Bumpers on the front while I was there.

I preped it by sanding it all down, cleaning up any small chips and then took it to get powder coated in Silver. Total price came in just under 1K. So just over half the price of a new black one.

Correct, I wanted a winch bar but couldn't find one so this will do until one comes up, then its as simple as just swapping the main bar I hope.

              • Finally connected this "URD MAF Sensor Calibrator PLUG-N-PLAY " a little old school but I no doubt got a few months of trimming to get it right but hey cheap enough, will post more after. These are for 1GR-FE. Seems very similar to Power Commander for motorcycles.

                      • Hi All
I finally pulled the trigger on a new starter motor for the 1GRFE V6 in the 120 series.
Settled on a Bosch BXD039N. Now this baby cranks! @ 2kw compaired to the Denso original boasting 1.6kw.
Had some conflicting info as to wether this was a direct replacement.
The bosch is a bloody lot heftier unit, and a very precise fit.
The main battery cable mounted up to the solinoid lug without to much hassle, but the ignition wire plug is in a lower location on the starter so this wire had to be extended.
                        Cheers
                        Troy

Nice rig. Was this the one that was forsale at BigRock?

                              • Tinted the windows with the darkest legal tint, got the auto elec. to wire up the kings solar panels into the redarc system. Anderson plugs instead of cigarette lighter socket for connecting the kings fridge.
