New Prado owner

Purchased my first 4x4 today (Prado GXL 03 v6) and took down Two easy going tracks Close to perth today, nothing to wild but had a tonne a fun. I also got myself a prado manual on CD but i cant get into the START bit without this ID number that was suposed to be printed on the case insert.If anyone could help me out that with this ID number it would be great! (looks like Ill be going back to toyota again)

Anyhow I would like to say a big G,DAY to all the members and i look forward to having to chat.

Check its not printed on the Cd itself!

I spent a couple hours on the phone the other day in a similar situation, and it never dawned on me to look on the cd ! ops:

I checked the CD itself too, held it up to the light and everything and there's two sets of numbers/letters one on one line and the other underneath - but no matter how I type them in, it still won't work.
Where the prompt is to put the numbers in, is there any particular order they need to go in or anything? I thought maybe the 'O' was a '0' so I tried that and then tried vice versa but no luck.
Any other suggestions?

Dunno, I would just contact where you bought it from and ask them for it, they shouldnt have any issue sending you the details.

Thanks for your help Slads!

Took my my C.D down to Toyota the other day and he told me that 'this is how the cd comes for the warehouse'.He also had another CD he ordered for some one else that didn't have a code on it either, and when I said to him 'you can't sell that' (ie that it wouldn't work) he just looked at me blankly.

He went away for a while and tried to get it to work, and couldn't, he said all he could do is give me a credit. I asked to speak to the manager and he was the manager :roll:
So I said look don't worry about it, I'll sort it out myself...

So if you go to buy a CD, (part No SC00W1EB) beware, and make sure it has the info on the inside of the cover *before* you walk away from the store, because once you're out the door that's it.

So Slads, thanks heaps for your help - that and what someone else posted in another thread about using IExporer as the browser, well I can finally open the CD now, so cheers, big time
